SEND & Inclusion
We help build inclusive systems where every learner can thrive
Supporting Education Group helps schools, multi-academy trusts and early years settings strengthen SEND and inclusion practice – from supporting your strategy to frontline delivery.
We combine specialist expertise, diagnostic tools and evidence-based services to help you evaluate your current provision, build a clear inclusion strategy and deliver measurable impact for all pupils – no matter their needs.
The Inclusive Mainstream Fund
The Inclusive Mainstream Fund (IMF) is bringing over £500 million per year into mainstream education, with the average school receiving approximately £14,000 (primary) and £48,000 (secondary) annually.
The funding is designed to support evidence-based, inclusive provision – and comes with clear expectations.
As part of the funding, by December 2026, every school must publish an inclusion strategy that:
- Identifies predictable needs across the cohort
- Aligns with the DfE’s principles of inclusive practice
- Demonstrates provision across Universal, Targeted and Specialist tiers
- Provides clear evidence of impact over time
Our approach to SEND & Inclusion
From evaluation to impact – across schools and trusts
For schools and multi-academy trusts, improving SEND outcomes won’t come from isolated interventions – it’s about building a clear, consistent and evidence-led system.
Through our SEND & Inclusion Hub, we support leaders to:
- Evaluate provision across schools against the DfE’s principles of inclusive practice
- Identify predictable patterns of need and gaps in support
- Build a coherent inclusion strategy at school or trust level
- Align provision across Universal, Targeted and Specialist tiers
- Generate clear, Ofsted-ready evidence of impact
Our SEND Lens evaluation tool provides a structured starting point – helping you baseline your current position and prioritise next steps with confidence.
