Thrive Support Children’s Mental Health Week with Special Sponsored Webinar
February 9, 2022

Supporting Education partners Thrive are marking Children’s Mental Health Week by hosting a special webinar that collects the insights of prominent educationalists.

The theme for this year’s Children’s Mental Health Week, which runs until Friday, is growing together. The event seeks to encourage children and the adults that care for them to reflect on how they’ve grown as people and how they can help others to do so.

To celebrate Children’s Mental Health Week 2022, Thrive have sponsored a webinar about the crucial role of play in children’s development in Tes, the UK’s leading educational publication.

The webinar brings together Tes senior digital editor Simon Lock, Professor Helen Dodd of the University of Exeter, Mikaela Brown of the Anderida Centre in East Sussex, and Vicki Williams from the Fortis Academy in Birmingham. Their wide-ranging discussion draws on real experiences helping non-verbal children and victims of abuse develop life skills through playing games.

This is a must-watch for anyone with an interest in children’s social and emotional development. It’s available to view here.

Thrive’s training programmes provide schools with a toolbox of strategies for cultivating emotional health and resilience among their pupils.

With the education world’s attention trained on young people’s mental health this week, Supporting Education is proud to be leading the conversation.
