Supporting Education Welcomes Award-Winning EdPlace to the Group
July 13, 2022

Supporting Education is proud to announce the addition of education content platform EdPlace to the group.

EdPlace is a leading, award-winning player in the competitive Edtech sector, providing curriculum-based content as a resource to parents, schools and tutors. Since 2018, SEG businesses have worked in partnership with EdPlace, whose products have played a key role in the delivery of our in-school and private tuition services.

Jonathan Roback, SEG CEO, commented “The addition of EdPlace compliments and strengthens our capabilities in the Public and Private Tuition markets. Having known their team for a number of years, we know we are welcoming some very talented individuals who share our passion for education”.

EdPlace CEO Will Paterson shared his own excitement at becoming a part of Supporting Education Group (SEG).

“EdPlace was born from my experiences as a dyslexic; having support in learning at home is something that can be overlooked but can also make the biggest difference to pupil outcomes. We’ve built a business that has provided learning support to over 130,000 students, who have used EdPlace to pass their exams, conquer skill gaps and change their outlook on a subject.

Being part of SEG gives us an opportunity to significantly expand our reach and impact, and to make learning more effective and accessible for thousands more students. Having worked with SEG since 2018, we know we have found a great team fit, with a positivity and entrepreneurial spirit that matches our own.”

In the week they formally joined SEG, Will and his team have even more cause for celebration. On 8 July, EdPlace took home the prize for Best Educational Resource for Tuition at the inaugural National Tutoring Awards.

We are very pleased both to welcome EdPlace to SEG and to congratulate them on this well-deserved win.
