The Challenge

Two Year 11 pupils had been out of education for over two years due to complex SEND and mental health needs. Both were disengaged and at risk of leaving education with no qualifications.

The Solution

SEG delivered bespoke tuition – one programme delivered 15 hours per week with home exam invigilation; the second focused on six hours per week of online tuition with customised materials.

The Results

Pupil 1 passed GCSE English and Maths and began an apprenticeship
Pupil 2 passed four GCSEs with grades 4–6, plus a fifth after re-engaging with 92% attendance
Both pupils avoided NEET outcomes (Not in Education, Employment or Training)

In Their Words

"Our tutors built trust, adapted to pupil needs, and helped them believe in their potential again."
