The Challenge

Persistent absenteeism and rising exclusions were affecting pupil outcomes and placing strain on school staff. Masefield Primary and Meridian High needed proactive ways to support mental health and engagement.

The Solution

SEG introduced Thrive’s online mental health and wellbeing screening tool, paired with training and tailored interventions, to help staff identify and support pupils with SEMH needs.

The Results

15% reduction in severe absenteeism
27% reduction in exclusions
£34m potential state saving per local authority using Thrive
Pupils with EHCPs experienced improved attendance and wellbeing
