The Challenge

Staff burnout and limited leadership development opportunities were contributing to high attrition rates. MATs and schools needed a way to strengthen leadership pipelines and reduce turnover.

The Solution

SEG delivered a suite of National Professional Qualifications (NPQs), designed to support current and aspiring leaders across all levels – from middle leadership to headship and executive leadership.

The Results

7,000 school leaders trained in 2024, including 5,000 SENCOs
61% of trainees said the NPQ made them less likely to leave the sector
98% felt more confident to step into senior roles
Positive outcomes reported across school culture, teaching quality and wellbeing
